We went to the Temple Open House October 19, 2012
In September 2012, we met a new family in our ward. They are Political Refugees from Congo. It is Penina and her 3 children. Imani is 18, Sam 11 and Shukuru 9. They have been in Boise 4 years and were baptized in June in the Summerwind Stake.
Her husband and 3 of her children were shot and killed in Congo. She has 2 more sons in another country. She is going to school to learn English better. Her children all talk English perfect. Their language in Congo is French. We don't know too much about them yet, but they are a special family.
We pick them up for church each Sunday and took these pictures by the Temple. Imani was sick so we don't have a picture of her yet.
