Kim had a decorating appointment so they came to Boise on Friday.  They brought their 3 cute grandchildren, Brylie, Braxton and Brodie with them.  They went to the Temple Open House on Friday.

It was a fun time having them here.

City of Rocks- Oct 8, 2012

On our way back to Boise from Salt Lake, we decided to go to the City of Rocks we had heard about but never been there.  We did get lost once and drove 27 miles back towards Salt Lake.  The trip was worth it-- it was very interesting and beautiful.

Congo Family- 2012

We went to the Temple Open House October 19, 2012

In September 2012, we met a new family in our ward.  They are Political Refugees from Congo.  It is Penina and her 3 children.  Imani is 18, Sam 11 and Shukuru 9.  They have been in Boise 4 years and were baptized in June in the Summerwind Stake.

Her husband and 3 of her children were shot and killed in Congo.  She has 2 more sons in another country.  She is going to school to learn English better.  Her children all talk English perfect.  Their language in Congo is French.  We don't know too much about them yet, but they are a special family.

We pick them up for church each Sunday and took these pictures by the Temple.  Imani was sick so we don't have a picture of her yet.

Trip to Jackson Hole- September 2012

Our 59th Anniversary was September 10th, so we decided to go to Idaho Falls and then a side trip towards Yellowstone.

We stayed at the Marriott in Idaho Falls and it was great to be together.  We made a side trip to Jackson Hole and Jenny's Lake.  It was very beautiful.

The first picture is Teton Peaks, the 2nd Jenny's Lake and the Idaho Falls Temple.
