My Brother Lyle - 2014

My brother Lyle had been ill for several weeks.  We left for Idaho Falls on October 28th.  We stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Inn. It was a very nice room.  We went to the hospital to spend some time with him.  He could hardly talk but I am pretty sure he recognized me one time.  I will post some pictures..some from previous times and some from the present.  He passed away about 8 PM Oct. 30th.  Out of 9 children I am the only one left now.  It makes me very sad.  We spent time with him in the hospital on the 29th and then came home.  We went to Idaho Falls again on November 4th for the viewing and the funeral on Nov 5th.

Interesting pictures

This picture wasn't taken by us.  I think it was from a professional photographer in Hawaii.  It happened on October 8, 2014.  We did see the eclipse out of our back window about 4 AM.

We didn't get a picture.

We were very fortunate to take this picture as the bird was only there for a few minutes before it flew away.  We think it is a Crane but we are not sure.  

When it flew away, the wingspan was really huge.

     
                                       The full moon was only visible for about 4 days.

Scott's 60th Birthday Surprise Party- Aug 29, 2014

 Rae Ann planned a surprise party for Scott for his birthday.  With the help of her friend Gretchen, they planned the party at the Hillcrest Country Club.  About 40 people came and it was great.  Scott didn't know Brooke, Brady and Amber would be there that night.

One of the special gifts he got was a football from Gretchen and her husband that was signed by the BSU football players.

On Saturday night, his birthday, we had a dinner and party at our house with the family that was here. 

             Brady & Nichole stayed at our house and here is a couple 
         of pictures we took of them and their family.  
        They left Sunday morning, August 31st.

Lisa and Ron invited Garry & I and Alan & Kim to 

dinner on Sunday. It has been a busy and fun week.
